Scottish Veterans’ Residences (SVR), Scotland’s oldest military charity, supports former Armed Forces and Merchant Navy personnel who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or who otherwise need housing support.

We are recruiting a permanent Night Concierge (30h/w) to join us at our 44 room residence at Rosendael, Broughty Ferry, Dundee.

We seek to maximise Veterans independence and provide support to move on to appropriate, permanent accommodation wherever possible. Veterans have their own fully furnished en-suite room and access our onsite support and facilities including dining room, providing all our residents with meals, communal lounges, a gym & and laundry services.

Rosendael offers a dynamic housing support service to assist our Veterans to return to independent living where appropriate. Our Night Concierge is a vital part of our team, providing overnight reassurance & security to our Veterans. 

This post is 30 hours per week, working night shift from 22:00 to 08:00 Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays. This is a lone worker position. This post is subject to a Disclosure Scotland check.

ABOUT YOU

Reliable, motivated, dedicated and enthusiastic, you will delivery an effective service to our Veterans. To fulfil our Vision and Mission, you will embed our Values to deliver the safety, health, comfort, and welfare of Veterans in line with the Care Inspectorate’s Health and Social Care Standards. You will possess a SVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or its equivalent or be willing to attain this qualification within eighteen months of starting with SVR.

Previous experience of working in a similar environment, a housing support service, or night security combined with light cleaning duties would be an advantage. You will be dedicated to the wellbeing and security of our residents. You are reliable, consistent, focused, and flexible in both your outlook and approach.

In return, we offer an excellent salary of £21,128.64, plus additional benefits.
